Hello! I am a professional declutterer and organiser based in East Lothian. I cover some surrounding areas including Midlothian and some parts of East Edinburgh. In 2023 I decided that I needed a career change. I was a Registered Nurse and had been for almost 20 years, but felt stuck and overwhelmed. I always enjoyed having a good clear out and organising my own home, and I enjoy helping others. So felt that this was the job for me! I completed courses on Starting a Professional Organising Business with APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers) and with Centre of Excellence.
When you contact me I will get back to you same day (if within my working hours) to arrange a suitable time to meet with you in your home. This initial consultation is free. During a session I am happy to work alone or with you for the organising part but I will need your input to declutter to ensure we keep only what you need/want in your home. I am happy to take items for donation/recycling but I do not sell items for clients. I can however give some advice on how you can do this.
My hourly rate is £40 for weekdays or £50 at weekends. I charge additional mileage over 20miles from my location (Tranent) at 50p per mile. A session is usually 3-6 hours long. As per my T+Cs (below) my minimum session time is 3 hours. Sessions are usually Monday to Friday and I work between the hours 9.30am-4pm. If this does not work for you then we can discuss this to work something out. I do try to estimate how long a particular project will take but it can be difficult to properly assess until we begin.
